Everyone who comes to the sanatorium “Dniper” enters a magic piece of nature with a wonderful microclimate, conditioned by the advantageous geographic condition. Western part of the cape Ai Petri is available for the sea breeze and is well ventilated and deeply warmed by the sun. The sanatorium is located here.

The air of this part of the Southern coast id almost free from the dust filled with the ever green plants of the mountains and the ephiric plants from the park area.

The territory of the sanatorium has an ideal for the mountainous sea shore horizontal land. More than 20 hectars of this rare horizontal area became the basis for the old mansion of the Prince and the wonderful park.

The main building of the mansion became the villa palace “Kharaks”. This is a real diamond of architecture, made in European high mountainous shale style, it is blurred with the natural landscape of the park.

The second department of the sanatorium is organically matches the park. It was used to be the guest house of the family of the Great Prince. The building is sparkling with the romantic softness given by the warm Crimean nature and the great talent of the Architect.

More modern building of the fifth department is located in the western part of the park. It is surrounded by the green and looks very cozy. The windows face the sea, the beauty of the neighboring square with the tall palms, artificial waters and flower beds.

The memorial of the Kharak park is the antic pavilion which is made from the 12 columns made of marble with the fountain in the middle.  

The architectural elements of the pavilion are taken at the beginning of the XX century from the neighboring mansion in Oreanda for the Greek Princess Maria – wife of the Great Prince Georgiy Mykhailovich.

Along the shore there are a number of panoramic views from which you can see the see and the shore.

The method of using definite parts of the park to cure definite diseases was first developed and used in sanatorium “Dniper”. Several phito corners are equipped at the park, which have different effect on the people.

In the center of the park, along the shady paths the speedy elevator is located.
From the top of the building the beautiful artificial waterfall is falling.
In a second, the elevator brings you to a cool tunnel, connected to a comfortable beach.   

Directly at the beach the ninth sleeping department of the sanatorium is located.

But not only the elevator connects the park with the beach. For those who love the healthy rest there is a special serpentine path, which brings you up and down to the beach. A little hill allows to move without any effort, besides the path is equipped seats where one can rest and enjoy the beautifl landscape.

The park of the sanatorium “Dnipro” which hasn’t changed its entire view – the total area of about 20 hectars, and the structure, natural forest and the park, has the status of the reservation area and the official name “Kharak Reservation Park”.

In the park, not far from the central path, there is a pump room with mineral waters of different varieties.  

This is a big park, well ordered about half kilometers long. Good condition of the park is due to the good care of the well qualified personnel of the sanatorium “Dniper”.

At the south eastern border of the park there is a juniper garden – a unique natural dendrological reservation located in the outskirts of the ancient fortress “Kharaks”. The age of its trees long livers is from 400 to 1000 years.  

In the park there are more than 270 varieties of the plants from all the continents of our planate. Here one can see Alexandrine bay, Japanese Sophora, palms, Altai cedar, and American gigantic sequoia.

Ever green Kharak Park is a pride of the health center. Because of its air full of the sea salts, aromas of the multiple trees it effectively influences cardiovascular, nervous, respiratory systems. It creates the necessary positive emotional, esthetic basis which in the medical care and recreation at the sanatorium “Dniper”.
